Architectural /Aesthetic Review Committee

The Architectural Aesthetic Review Committee (AARC) reviews applications for construction, alteration, removal or demolition affecting proposed or designated historic structures and issues or denies certificate of appropriateness for such actions.  The AARC also develops design guidelines and makes recommendations to City Council concerning historic properties or structures. 

The Architectural Aesthetic Review Committee consists of seven (7) regular and two (2) alternate members appointed by the City Council.    Members must be residents of Inverness or own property in the City or be engaged in a business in the City. (4 year term).

The AARC meets on the second (2nd) and fourth (4th) Thursday of each month at 4:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers.
